Hi, I’m Jeff Davenport, and for over 35 years, I’ve been crafting homes for Purple Martins. There’s nothing quite like witnessing these incredible birds take flight and care for their young. My journey started with traditional wooden birdhouses, but I quickly realized they had their limitations—rotting and weather damage being the biggest culprits. That’s when I discovered PVC board, a durable material that won’t rot, crack, or splinter. It’s also resistant to mold, mildew, moisture, insects, and termites, so you can count on your birdhouse or feeder to stand the test of time. After perfecting my use of PVC, I added my father-in-law’s bird feeder design to the mix and began creating homes for Bluebirds as well. As demand grew, I even started building bat houses.
